YOLO #1

You only live once!!

So, I’m defs not going to be documenting the YOLO Project everyyyy day, but I’ll be updating about it every once in awhile.  Keep your eyeballs peeled for fresh reports, yo!

Today’s YOLO: Use a tilt-shift lens.

Allegra and I decided to bust out the Edge 80 lens that Lensbaby offered her a few weeks ago.  It was a lot of fun and a big challenge for both of us!

Here are a few of the results!

The YOLO Project.

Upon examining my life as of late, I decided it was extremely boring. Allegra agreed.  We decided it was time for a change and that change came in the form of a ridiculous acronym.

The YOLO (You Only Live Once) Project:  Try one new thing every day, all summer, no exceptions.

Go somewhere you’ve never been.

Eat something you’ve never eaten.

Do something you’ve never done.

ETC.

The point is: mix it up, try new things, complete your bucket list, find new passions, create new stories.

It would be lovely to have some fellow adventurers.  Any takers?

Woof!

SO.  Allegra and I are soon to wed in May-ish.  And with this comes innumerable possibilities, including wee children in the DISTANT future.  We were thinking about what we could do to prepare ourselves and our taking-care-of skillz in order to become better parents before we even were parents.  Woof!

Wee animals came to mind.  Now, here’s the thing.  I’m a cat person.  Allegra is…shall we say…not.  But there happens to be a kind of pup we both can agree upons is absolutely adorable:

However.  We found out that pugs are ridiculously difficult to care for, and we are, shall we say, kinda lazy.  Also, apparently pugs shed a heckuvalot.  Which is gross.  So, we were looking around and the infamous and hilarious Boo soon arrived on our browser’s doorstep:

If we can find some sort of animal as adorable as Boo, who knows, maybe I’d give in and come to the canine side.  Who knows what will happen between now and whenever our need for parental-ness kicks in, but we’re going to try to hold off on getting a pup, OR CAT, for as long as possible.  They seem like they’d be pretty expen$ive.  But hopefully whenever we do concede and get a household beast, we will get a CAT (don’t tell Allegra).  How could we not???

What have been your experiences with new pets??  Is it really as expensive as they say it is?
